From Family Kitchen to City Streets

In 2021, chef and environmentalist Maria Reyes had a vision: bring her grandmother's taco recipes to the streets while proving that every step of a food business can be sustainable. She converted a retired delivery truck into a solar-paneled, biodiesel-powered taco kitchen — and noriplaycurrnt.fun was born.

What started as a weekend gig at the Riverside Farmers Market quickly became a citywide phenomenon. Word spread about the impossibly fresh ingredients, the bold flavors, and the fact that literally everything — from plates to napkins to the truck's fuel — was eco-conscious.

Today, we serve four neighborhoods, partner with 15+ local farms, and have diverted over 2 tons of food waste from landfills. But we're just getting started.
